Are These Needed, If So Where (Rear Brake Refurb)

Do I need the two O-rings and funny shaped O rings (bottom left and bottom right). I take it they go on the hand brake control lever, but having taken them both apart I didn't see either of these, however it is entirely possible that I missed them in all the grease.

 

On another point, is the grease in the back of the calipers special?

The o ring gos inside the calliper where the handbrake shaft gos. The other gos on the handbrake arm but I never use this one
