Yes, but the car was only 2 years old. The alarm packed up a couple of years later.

Sorry. Couldn't help think of the tune due to the tile. I'm going around the twist.

I've certainly bought cars with working aftermarket alarms.... a better question would be have I ever bought one that has actually been installed properly and to the professional standard it ought to be?

yes, my 306 DTurbo, had a toad.

whether it was installed properly or not I couldn't tell you, nor why the hell it was fitted when the car had a working factory alarm+immobiliser

thankfully my 405 has a standard full alarm & immobiliser and nothing else, the 205 had a dead laserline from 1991, so I got another one fitted which tbh has worked fine, however they did love insulation tape, and hacked right into the ignition switch wires, what's wrong with heatshrink?!

The 309 came with a Toad fitted, quite impressed to be fair, although working out how to arm and dis arm it can be interesting, sitting there trying to start it, bleeding away and the alarm goes off.

Having a car that bleeps when you lock and unlock it is a massive novalty though. However the feature that locks it after a couple mins caught me out just once when I first got it. Locked the keys in it.....

If it's wired up properly that should be impossible to do Ali - check the door open switches work, as opening the door should cancel the auto-lock.

Whilst driving the Great Ocean Road in South Australia (EPIC road) in a Kia Rio auto (AWFUL car) the good lady wife and I stumbled across the lighthouse featured in said Australian kid's TV show.

The Kia did not have an aftermarket alarm, to be honest, no-one would have wanted to steal it anyway and if they did you could probably have given them a good head start and still caught them on foot.

Yeah toad a60 something. It was the best one at the time. Played up once in the first two weeks and then was good as gold for 3 years.

My project Goodwood has a Clifford Eagle, it cost £350 according to the invoice I found with the history.

It will be a long time before I het to test if it is working or not though with the size of my 'to-do' list.

Yes and they always played up went off randomly, a mate has an r6 bike the alarm would go off while riding it, took us a good few hours removing it, was very cleverly installed, wires were pinned into the ecu plug so you couldn't just find the wires that had been snipped and rejoin them, and some wires were just spliced onto others blocking signals. Very confusing
