Diy Strut Brace Plans?

Hi All,

 

I'd like to fit a front upper strut brace, but would like to have a crack at making my own. I have steel stock and am quite confident with the welder etc.

 

Are there any DIY plans around or maybe some proven dimensions to work to?

Have a look at colin satchells 205, drsarty has a very similar one, happens to have been made by colin too.

 

Given the fairly wide tolerances and age of the cars, i would just measure the car!
