Turbo on my daily audi just shat itself so insured the 205, just need to tax it now :)

Rather looking forward to it, although I have been spoilt with cruise and ac for far too long lol. I will either rush to replace the turbo or not depending on how I get on.

cant say much for the saw ankle from having no cruise but you wont be needing ac for the next 3 months according to the weather alerts

Now its insured and taxed I am rather looking forward to collect it tomorrow.. just having exhaust welding done and rack arms changed.. no time to do it myself.

The audi being 4wd is an ideal winter car and hoping to be with out it for only a couple of weeks whilst the turbo is rebuilt.. I do about 45k a year and wouldnt want to clock them up on the 205.. but nice now to be able to use it in future occasionally as insurance was so cheap I will let it run.

I ran my 205 as a daily for about a year and it was superb. Commuting from Aldershot to Aldermaston daily and never missed a beat. In the winter, you had to dress for it as my 205 has nothing in it bar a cage & seats, gloves and woolly hat were a must! Fairly common to have ice on the inside of the car but because of the Mi conversion and exhaust manifold running close to bulkhead, it warmed up quickly. Even with Parada tyres in the fresh snow, it was still excellent and a right laugh whilst most struggled!

Bought a 1.4 306 (Mi16 to a 75bhp 306 ) and the 205s never seen the light of day since. I miss it!

Welsh,

No its a quattro.

Drove it the 78miles home. Only issue was the wipers broke, appear to have come off the motor or similar. Will check in morning.

Its a bit scarey in the motorway between trucks but the gti6 engine is ace on the lanes and back roads. Looking forward to using it tomorrow.
