Gear Box Removal.

Is there anyway to take of the mount from the top of the gearbox? Im having a lot of trouble getting the gearbox off

Do you mean the mounting stud? If so yes it can be unscrewed, but be warned it can be stubborn if it hasn't been moved for some time. Also it is important that it goes back properly too, and should be thread locked in place.

a 6 sided spark plug socket does the trick.

pop the speedo drive housing off, that will help too, 3x 13mm bolts.
