Hi, is the xr powered by the same engine as the xs - same power, suspension etc? What are the differences?

The XR came with the TU3M (90% sure it was the M) Iron block unit @ 75bhp, the XS is a TU3S @ 85bhp and ali block. Differences in the head and exhaust too, also the Solex Z2 is ever so slightly different.

 

Suspension and brakes all the same, different gearbox. The XR is basically a Rallye, there is a fair few threads out lining the difference between XS and the Rallye. (XS is better!)

indeed, bolt a pair of 40's to it and you'll be closer to an Euro rallye than the UK ones ever are
