mrfirepro 127 1 Cars Posted November 13, 2013 (edited) Firstly, thanks to the beam stripping guide on here (excellent work Wurzel ) I was able to strip the rear beam with ease and without incident, Oh and thanks to Tom Fentons miracle tool (thanks Tom) Well nearly, I was a little impatient and didn't heed the warning and ended up gauging a chunk from the beams bearing surface. Is there anything I can do with this or is it new beam time. The gauge is about 1-1.5mm deep. (edit - answered my own question just looked at the bearing and they have there own bearing surface, so guess just need to make it smooth) Edited November 13, 2013 by mrfirepro
jord294 89 Posted November 13, 2013 Personally, I wouldn't use that tube But I know other people who have used a metal putty or epoxy
welshpug 1,646 Posted November 13, 2013 That will be fine with the gouges dressed, as you said, the bearing doesn't run on that.
stef205 92 1 Cars Posted November 13, 2013 I've seen tubes a lot worse than that, just address the gorges and it should be ok
