Heavy Clunk Noise When Braking

Hi all,

 

When I touch the brake pedal going either forward or reversing I get a heavy clunk noise that appears to be from the front drivers side. I've got fitted refurbed calipers all round and new pads. The front calipers seem to have a lot of play in them, I've tried removing them and made sure the bolt threads are clean and retightened to 120nm. Any ideas would be great.

Are they 1.6 calipers?

Yes, they are 1.6 on front, 1.9 beam on the back
