S1 106 Rallye - Yay Or Nay?

Recommended Posts

I do heel-and-toeing as second nature (or to be more precise - ball-and-side-footing), so I'm guessing I'd have problems with it.

But surely it would be possible to fix this issue with the most basic engineering skills :).

could you not use the assistance of a large spanner just to move them over slightly??

having never driven them myself only been a passenger, id still buy one given half the chance :) :)

Only thing that I imagine that you could possibly do is to slim the width of the pedals down a little, but the pedals are hardly massive to begin with.

I've got massive feet and I did 110,000 miles in three years in my AX and I didn't consider the pedals a problem at the time, it was my first car and was all I knew really.

Can you try sitting in a 106/AX/Saxo nearby before going to look at the Rallye?

Maybe a mk2 Saxo VTS, if it's the same in that regard?

My first car was a 106. Ive got size 12 feet and it was weird to start with but i got used to it very quickly and the pedal closeness or offset really was not an issue! Only time i had issues with mashing two pedals was when i was driving with my work boots on which are fairly sizeable in comparison to my trainers.

Only problem I have with offset pedals is on Lon journeys the unnatural angle hurts my knee as I've found in my BMW and my dad's lorries.

But then I haven't got the greatest knees so that may not affect most
