Oil Pressure On A 306 Gti6

I have a 306 gti6 unlike a 205 gti it dosnt come with a oil pressure gauge on the original dashboard clocks.I would like to fit a aftermarket gauge so I can moniter my oil pressure.What sender unit would I require to do this?.Also this sender unit will be fitted to a T16 engine block not a Gti6.

Use the sender that matches the gauge you're using.

 

If using a mechanical gauge, you don't need a sender.

 

I've not seen the T16 block, but I believe that it's basically the same as the S16 and GTi-6 one. If so, there should be an unused port on the oil gallery on the front of the block that you can use, but you'll need an adapter to take it down from M16 to the correct thread for the sender (typically M10x1 or 1/8th NPT)

 

PS. Early (Phase 1) GTi-6's and S16's did have an oil pressure gauge and thus matching sender (but no oil temp gauge)
