Xu7 Alternator Setup

I am due to have my modified 2 litre xu7 engine back from the engine builder on Tuesday with it booked in for mapping on the Friday. (last minute.com I know)

 

I was hoping to just have an alternator and tensioner without the pas pump etc, just wondering what setup anyone has used in the past?

 

I have looked on service box and it appears that there was a Peugeot partner 1.8 xu7jb that came with the an alternator setup with an adjuster and without PAS and A/C which would be perfect but the parts are no longer available.

Would the one off a 106 gti work? As they have just an alternator

I'd imagine it wont be difficult to make pas brackets work with some adaption.

I sorted this out, found a citroen berlingo 1.8 petrol with pas, used the mounts off that to hold the alternator to the block, used a cambelt tensioner that very conveniently threaded into a hole that was already on the mount to tension a standard 8 valve belt
