So whatdo you guys think?

It doesnt sound like its blowing or feel like it and theres no black soot around it but it definately looks cracked.

Ive read somewhere that youll hear a clicking noise but when would I hear it?

If I leave it is it likely to break off completely anytime soon?

Does anyone have one I can buy and how easy is it to change?

Cheers

Rich

I would change it, its likely it will open up when its hot and be quite audible! you can see the gasket is leaking by the head.

it is very easy to change, as long as the studs and nuts are in good condition, you do need a good 6 sided fairly deep 13mm socket, if you do need the car on the road I would advise at the very least a new set of nuts, and certainly a set of 4 gaskets (one for each port)

also I would advise getting a genuine Peugeot manifold to downpipe fitting kit, they are around the £15 mark and far higher quality than any aftermarket kit I have used.

I do have a few I could sell you, probably looking at £40 posted :)

Ive got a dremel if the nuts decide to play hardball, but Id probably give them a good week of spraying penetrating oil onto them before I tried.

Are they the later reinforced ones?

Also does it matter that I have sleeve type fittings on the rest of the exhaust? Is the downpipe fitting always the same?

Cheers

downpipe to manifold is always the same kit, all the manifolds had the same part number but indeed there were variations over the years.

TBH, I doubt penetrating oil will do any help, it'll just get burnt straight off if you run the car.

Fair enough.

Have you got a reinforced later one?
