Thanks.

Its got spax shocks and uprated front sprints but standard 1.9 brakes with braided lines and uprated pads and handles pretty well. May look into arbs at somepoint.

Completely off topic, but I was just looking at your Imprezza with the 6-pot engine after reading the bit about the SVX on Shed Of The Week. Very nice B)

Cage is completely welded in now.

started welding in rails for bucket seat and quickly realised that the bulge in the transmission tunnel stops the seat going over to the right far enough and putting the seat on top of the bulge mean helmet too near roof lining and cage.. so cut the bulge on the drivers side and turned it over and started welding it back in.

Not sure whether to do the same on passenger side or just put the seat further back or further to the outside to miss the bulge but driver seat is now in line with peddles and steering wheel.

Seat further back anyway, personally would do the same on that side.

Seats and harnesses all now in. Maiden voyage and all appears okay, need to do the alignment due to the 309 wishbones but otherwise all good.

Stuck it on the dyno to check it was running okay, last time I think it made 167 which was when I first bought the red car and it hadnt run for a few months in anger. Since done two trackdays and 600odd road miles and been shifted to the other car.

I need to tidy up a bit and paint the floor but trackday looming so that can wait.

I'm no cage expert, but is that just welded to the boot floor?

No his cage was too cheap to ignore on ebay, unknown origin and was bolt in. Think I gave £120 for it. Seems fairly light. We then welded it in and added the harness bar.

The new gearing is fun. Tops out about 105mph lol.

Yes. Have considered adding to it but its welded rather than bolted

Well say just welded, its plated and welded
