Gti-6 Speed Sensor

I have a v6 in my 306 as most of you probably know already because of the cooling issues.

 

Another issue is i cabt get the speedo to work, does anyone know how to do it? I thought i'd wired it up right but obviously not! :/

use the three wire original 306 one, add a 12v switched and earth, signals to ecu and speedo, signal and earth already there.

I think i left that on the gearbox when i sold it unfortunately. The 406 2 wire one goes to box of tricks in the dash doesbt it?

yup, but the 306 doesn't use a box of tricks, hence needing to add a 12v+ and use the 306 sender.

Will the 306 sender fit in the 406 gearbox though?

Well the reason i ask is the 406 is an ML gearbox not a be one
