ORB 227 1 Cars Posted September 29, 2013 I was thinking earlier, whilst cooking the kids tea about thicker thicker TB's and stuff. I see the cost of these and wondered about the possibilities of simply adding a sleeve to the exterior of a standard TB/ARB to achieve the same result? Or is that a daft idea? welshpug 1,646 Posted September 29, 2013 the splines ends are larger diameter than the torsion bar, so it wouldn't work unless you had a 24mm bar already. but yes it would work, whether it'd work to the same effect as just fitting a larger torsion bar I'll let the engineers answer! Batfink 201 Posted September 29, 2013 You would have to weld them on though
jackherer 543 Posted September 29, 2013 I've seen something that was basically a two piece sleeve that clamped around an anti roll bar and had a series of grub screws along it to stop the bar from twisting along that part of its length. The more grub screws that are tightened the more the bar was restricted from twisting so it was adjustable too.
