Immobiliser

hi just wandering if anyone could tell me if this keyring is part of an immobilser. Its an L reg stdt 1.8 that iv converted to a 1.9dt.

 

when the keys in the ignition it turns over but iv got an led that's constantly flashing so not sure if this is the problem

As said, that's the original remote central locking blipper.

 

Did the 1.9TD engine that you fitted original come from a later car with an immobiliser? If so, from memory that needs removing from the pump and a standard stop solenoid fitted - otherwise you'll have no fuel being injected.

 

(I am of course assuming that you've properly primed the fuel system and the glow plugs are working correctly!)
