Paint Finish On Engine Bay

I'm just refreshing the front panel inner wings and engine bay on my lazer green 205 , and by polishing the slam panel sides, above the headlight it looks like as standard they where only painted in colour and not lacquered, as its very thin. Can anyone tell me otherwise.

you are probably right, all manufactures don’t put that much effort into hidden areas, like under the bonnet, the best thing you could so is go to your paint shop and get a can of laser green made up and some lacquer. will sort it right out.

i dont have any lacquer in my engine bay as standard not sure about either side of the slam panel thou.

I thought as much my car certainly shows no signs of paintwork or the engine ever being out previously.
