Thinking Of Vinyl Wrapping A Sunroof Wind Deflector...

Recommended Posts

Ok long story short. My current sunroof deflector is wonky and the replacement I bought is blue (red car), so was thinking of wrapping it in vinyl matt black or that 4D carbon fibre stuff off the bay.

I can't just run without one as the rails underneath have been cut and screwed direct to the bodywork.

Was wondering as it's a 3D shape, where should I aim to have the cut edges as I don't want it peeling off in 6 months!! Any wrapping advice as I've never done it before??

I hear that a hairdryer helps. Have a browse on youtube, theres lots of how tos to wrap all sorts of stuff. Also, some wraps have tiny invisible perforations to let air bubbles out, which might be handy on your first go

Yeah I've seen the more expensive 3m stuff with the air channels is the way to go. Just can't get my head around where to cut the vinyl!
