How do you that mmcgtk was asking about the caliper bolt thread mei? Are you psychic?

My answer was for the wheel bolt threads!

That's strange. All the hubs I've seen are M12x1.25.

oh right, lol.

most people call the complete assembly the hub, if you mean the drive flange that the wheel bolts go into, that is indeed 1.25 pitch as Andy posted.

Wheel bolts are 12x1.25, caliper bolts are 12x1.5.

Perfectly clear. You said "hubs", not "front swivel pins".

Most folk tend to call the complete front upright "hubs", OK strictly speaking the "hub" is the circular piece that the wheel mounts to, the bit the caliper bolts to I would call a "hub carrier".

Hub carrier, Swivel pin, Upright, Steering knuckle, I'm sure there are more terms.

According to wikipedia simply 'hub' is correct - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steering_knuckle

In automotive suspension, a steering knuckle is that part which contains the wheel hub or spindle, and attaches to the suspension components. It is variously called a steering knuckle, spindle, upright or hub, as well.
