1.9 Gti Brake Caliper Yokes

A while back I was discussing on a thread about possible caliper yoke wear and what would be supplied of Peugeot for a new yoke.

I ordered a pair in and this morning they arrived ( 3 weeks lead time) looks to me they come with slider bolts and boots.

Interesting to know.

It seems that some model caliper slide kits are NLA so perhaps best option is to buy new yokes

I was quite surprised when they came with a slider bolt.

Look at service box

That could suggest you need a slider kit to be ordered at the same time

I've made a replacement slider bolt before. Simple job.

Unfortunately I don't have the fabrication skills or know how of you Tom.

I now have 4 slider bolt kits in my loft including the ones on the yokes.

Saying that no m8 bolt came with the yokes !

The slider bolt kits I got from the European crowd came with the M8 bolts in the packet.

Peugeot parts can be tricky to order at times

I've ordered cylinder heads before that peugeot claim don't come with valves but when you get them, valves are all fitted?!

Interesting I ordered a new head from Switzerland and I thought It would be bare, but for £275 quid I was quite happy to order on that presumption.

They retail at 2k !

I'm not saying every cylinder head will come with valves, just seems to be pick + mix if they can be bothered including them. It's like the lottery sometimes, you may be lucky... :D

Did your head come with valves too or are you still waiting on delivery of it?

Waiting on delivery at the moment.

Hakan's English is ok but doesn't stretch to the more technical questions.

Fingers crossed I get the 2p sweet rather than 1 p in this pick and mix selection.

I wouldn't worry to much about valves being included. Pray you atleast get the valve guides included in there. They cost £165 for all 8, plus you'll have to pay someone to fit them properly.

Just pray as Jord said to me on the phone the other night it wasn't made on a Monday or Friday and we should be sorted.
