Front Wheels Rubbing On The Inside On Full Lock

Recommended Posts

Mad Scientist

Wonder if anyone can help with an issue I have on the front of the rally car.

It's running 309 bones, with PTS billies and 2.5 degrees of negative camber and some extra castor. On full lock it seems the tyres are rubbing the gearbox case on one side, and the splash guard on the other. It only happens when the car is being thrown about as we cant make it happen while static. The worry is that the splash guard is pushing up against the dry sump pulley on the crank. Running 195/50 15 r888 and dunlop 185/585 15 slicks.

Any ideas how I can stop this?

Lock stops of some sort, r888's and slicks are quite a bit chunkier than the original 185 55 mxv/p6.

Or a wider track ;)

Do you know Mei, the wider track might be the sensible option! Plus, I need a satchshift too as I snapped the compbrake quick shift off on stage 5!
