right people. i would have put this on other forums but i would have got people saying about "why declare". basically some other forums are full of chavs. so i decided to put it on here. i have an old golf as well as other halfs 205. the golf is old enough for classic insurance or modified insurance or various other insurance.

so what are your experiences with insurance companies?

insurance companies that cover projects?

on a side note i heard of a guy recently who sounds like a bit of an idiot that got pulled by the police near where i live. he had a back box and alloy wheels (you know the type. major mods thinks there cool) turns out he didnt have them declared. got 6 points for no insurance a 9 month ban and a few hundred quid fine

I have my 309 insured on a classic car policy with noted modded parts. Via adrian flux. Some people knock Adrian flux but I find them very good. They also ensure my 205 on a laid up policy.

Ive heard mixed things about flux to be fair. Green light seem to be the people atm. I will of course ring as many places as possible. I feel like i need to start searching for a local garage to start the build. Might have to look into layed up policy while its going on

I used footman james last time I insured my 205. It was a classic car policy, with all mods declared.

They also offer a garage insurance policy for when your 205 is off the road.

Although I detest uninsured drivers, I can see how ridiculous it is getting affordable insurance, especially when you're 17 / 18, and can see why many don't bother.
