Guess The Power

Recommended Posts

Well the moment of truth is nearly here the rolling road is booked to set the Pug up on the 16th.

What do you guys reckon it will do? (answers on a postcard......)

Minimal spec really

Std Vts engine (75,000m)

Modified inlet manifold to fit Lotus throttle bodies

DTA ecu

Std Vts exhaust manifold (wrapped)

Bespoke 2.25" stainless all the way back

150bhp? 160bhp? Who will be the closest?

Did you have it r/r'd before the bodies?

My guess is 180 if it was making book power before the bodies :)

I will say it depends massively on how well the inlet has been modified.

How do you mean how well the inlet ws modified?

Mine was milled square the flanges welded on then milled square again.

All the runners where blended perfectly to the flanges.

Or do you mean a length thing?

2.0l btw

99kW, at the wheels. I love the way you all think in fairy tale flywheel figures.

As we all love the way you talk in Kw!

Every rolling road I've been to gives you a graph of the calculated/estimated/guessed flywheel figures so that's why I and I'd imagine everyone else gives the fly figure.

Could be worse, could be american 'wheel' figures.

Any less than 300ps (just to be different) I'd chop it in for something quicker ;)

Serious guess, 169bhp
