Door Pins

Recommended Posts

Hi, my 205 is a 92 phase 2 but it has the knock in type door pins? Is this correct? I want to replace them as they are worn, is it poss or worth changing the hinge on the door side to the later torx bolt type?

Cheers

Rob

When you open your door does it drop?

Reason I ask this is because the hinges can wear and the standard Peugeot item won't be a tight fit.

I have read people drill the hinge and put a bigger roll pin in.

If you want new hinges I have some on order and they come with door pins attached (NFP from Peugeot)

Yep both the pin and the hinge can wear. I bought some oversized stainless roll pins off eBay when I did mine and drilled the hole out slightly to fit, worked a charm!

Chain g them shouldn't be a problem, I was just curious as to if my cars fitted with the correct hinges/pins? They look original. From what I can make out the later cars have the torx bolt type? Mine has the normal roll pin type, anyone else come across this?

Bit of a hijack, I have trox style hinges and the hinge that's welded to the shell is worn. Can I fit the roll pin hinge to my doors and drill out the section on the shell to fit a roll pin?
