Intermittent Rear Wiper

I got a relay this morning from a 306 relay no. 9753498780 and a relay from a zx no. 9753498880. I fitted both and I still have no intermittent wipe, are they meant to be a plug and play job or is there a wiping mod as I notice they have an extra small pole. Or is it a case of knackered relays.

The 205 never had intermittent rear wipe. However it can be modified. You need the relay and socket from a 106 or 306 and change the wiring.

Ahh ok thank you. Is it just a case of changing the wiring in the boot from the relay to the wiper motor.

Yeah for the fronts. I've done that already. It's plug and play. This is for the rear wiper

Find a diagram for a 306 or zx, replicate how they are wired, i suspect it might have something to do with that small as yet unused terminal

I think you can do it using a 205 front wiper relay. You need to swap a wire over to the small terminal from the one next to it.

Using a vw no.99 relay from a late vw t4 van or mk3 golf just remove 205 relay and replace with vw one. It allows you to change the time between wipes on intermittent. Thank you welsh pug and Ryan. Il look into it.

I'm aweful at reading schematic diagrams. Has anyone got a 306 rear wiper diagram or what I need to do in pleb format. Colours and what I need to change. Muchos appreciated.

Hmmm, i have my 306 sat on the drive, might try this one. Best get the diagrams out.
