Best Way To Restore The Colour In Gti Badge ?

He means the red on the gti badge on the tailgate strip plasticares not gonna help that. In the past I have smeared badges with margerine completely then carefully wiped the surface of the lettering clean then spray painted over the tops leave for a day or bake in the oven on very low temp then wash it off. Surprisingly good result if you take your time.

i got a small pot of plastic model paint from whsmiths for about a pound, decent colour match and dabbed it on with a hard sponge like a sanding block spone.

Someone on the forum has done an excellent job spraying the whole badge red, doing a black top coat and using thinner on the lettering to cut it back to red. Someone may be able to find the thread.

Not really as you don't specify the rear GTI badge or the rear quarter ones. You say "in the gti badge" which would lead me to believe its the rear quarter ones as it's slightly recessed on those.

Lay some paint on a plastic lid or something, get the badge and set it on the paint facedown, if any excess paint runs down the side of the lettering just wait till it dries and pick it off with a stanley or something. Worked pretty well for me.
