Help Needed, 205 Virgin

Recommended Posts

Ramigojag

I finally got the engine back into the 205, however because i didnt take it apart im struggling to figure out the routing of cables, wires, tubes etc.

Question 1.

I cant find for the life of me how the dipstick tube sits in, only way i can get it in the hole of the block is to go through the the exhaust manifold tubes which just doesnt look right and i cant find anywhere to bolt on the bracket for the dipstick tube, can anyone tell me how it should run

Question 2.

Injector plugs, is there anyway of identifying which plug is for which injector?

Question 3.

The throttle cable ive got it attached to the butterfly valve, however it looks like im missing a bracket or something to hold it and keep the tension on it

Question 4.

I cant see where this tube should go looks like some sort of oil breather or similar

Question 5.

The metal water pipe bracket, im sure its happened to lots of other people what have people done to sort this out

1

remove the manifold, it wont go in with it in place unless its bent, but with it bent it wont bolt into place next to the manifold.

2

its batch fire, i.e they all fire at once, so whichever they reach the neatest, they come up from under the manifold in the middle.

3

missing a bracket indeed, might have one to take a pic of for you.

4

oil breather, straight up the front of the engine, through with the injector wiring to the cam cover.

5

drill bolts out.
