Another Heated Windscreen Thread

Its getting towards the time of year where a heated windscreen would be handy. My windscreen is also rather scratched, chip and generally murky. I know there's been group buys before, and some fruitless discussions, so I was wondering if anybody has any contacts for this sort of thing? and if they could pass them on so I can find out some prices?

most of them seem to come from the same supplier, and often need a batch of 10 or so.

I've just mailed the supplier I used several years ago for a couple of group buys to get a price. Last time I spoke to them (about BMW screens) the prices were a lot higher than the last time though.

I just ordered one from a windscreen supplier no problem. Saves waiting 6 months to try and save £3 on a group buy that never goes ahead...

Where from? I have been thinking about getting one and don't really want the hassle of joining in on a group buy unless there is a huge saving to be had.

Aye now I think about it, I can't be arsed organising anything, it'd be easier just paying regular price

It's definitely not worth it these days, the best price I can get now is £7 less than the retail price listed above and you'd need to get 15 of them and wait for ten weeks. The group buys I arranged in the past were half that price in batches of only 6 or 7 IIRC.

I need a s2 106 screen desperately and would rather a heated one the trouble I have is they get chipped on track days I wouldn't mind but I use the car everyday

I've got another lead for these, I can get them for £149 + vat (£179 inclusive) but that's still only a relatively modest saving (£45+vat) and we'd need 30 (!) people confirmed.
