Glovebox Lock Retention Clips Broken Possible Fix With Donor?

I bought a full lock set a while ago for my cti because I was fed up of having 3 different keys and finally got round to fitting it the other day. Now everything works off one key except the glove box lock. I couldn't fit it as the two lugs that hold it in place are broken - didn't notice it until I came to fit it.

 

I was wondering if there is anything I can do to fit it (short of gluing it in place)! I have another lock all in good condition so I was wondering if anyone knows if the lock can be split and the put the internals that use my key in the other locks mounting part if that makes sense. I had a good look and to me I don't think it is possible but thought I would check on here first. Anyone had a go with it?
