Lowering Springs - What Are They?

I recently got a bunch of free parts which included a set of lowering springs, but I've got no idea what size they are. They have '75-004 Front 24/98' stamped on them and I was wondering if anyone knows what that means?

They're Avo lowering springs for a 205 diesel I'd say - the Avo part number is AV-75-004.

 

They'll likely not lower an alloy block engine'd 205 much if at all, but possibly useful for GTi-6 etc conversions :)
