Please Rescue Me And My 205!

Hello again!

I've put a few posts up with regards to my pug recently, asking for advise on various bits n pieces...

I'm now at the point where help is needed desperately or all interest will be sadly dwindle away!

I bought an L plate 1.9(phase 2) with what can only be called a buggered engine, I then bought an H plate front end write off (phase 1.5) and thought it'd be a good idea to make a decent(ish) pug out of the 2!

Me only knowing the very basics, although owning quite a few 205s in the past, got a pal to give me a hand to do the swap over- The earlier engine is now in the bay ready for plumbing etc, its also been left on Motronic (original wiring and ecu kept just in case..)as was advised it may run better on this set up... The mate that was originally giving me a hand to do this, I think is now also a little bit out of his depth, although claims he knows what he's doing.....(I believe him but he has NO previous experience with 1.9's at all, he's used to getting cars ready to go banger racing! haha)

Here it comes.....

Is there anyone on here who's willing and close enough too me to come take a look at this little mess and perhaps help pick some of the pieces back up, or can recommend anyone to speak too???

I'm fairly busy next month (as in August) due too work and a week old baby, but thought I'd ask know so it gives plenty of time in advance!

I Know its a big ask but if you think you can help me get my chariot back to at least a running condition please make yourself known to me and what sort of amount of beer tokens would be involved for doing this!!!!

you are selling yourself short craig! with all the work you have done on your own car and research and arranging re manufacture of parts i would say you are one of the best qualified to be an expert here along with a few others i could mention!

 

thats why this is my favourite 205 gti site and probably the best resource on the net for 205 drivers full stop!
