Light Weight Wheels Info & Spaces

HI this is my first posting,

 

Trying to get MI16 As light as possible

 

i am wanting some lightweight wheels for 205 track car, what are the lightest ones?

also not sure rating i would need for a 205 with 306 GTI 6 Callipers on it? if i put spaces on it would it handle better....

I don't think that they're the lightest, but early Citroen C5 "steelies" are about 4.7 kg each, the correct fitment and are comparitively cheap.

Looking for lighter wheels having put known heavy calipers on?

 

Removing those may be a good start.

3 piece split rims should save a lot of weight but you need to address everything under the wheel arch including the heavy calipers. Look at lotus Elise 2 pot calipers conversion or similar. Maybe consider biting the bullet and getting a proper race caliper

Yes, very much so!

 

OZ Ultraleggera are the lightest 15x7 rim, very closely followed by Team Dynamics PR1.2.

 

Don't fit spacers if you want handling.

Pro race 1's are lighter than pro race 1.2

I'm pretty sure mine are 7j. They've got tyres on but can get a weight if required.

According to team dynamics website pro race 1 and pro race 1.2 in 15x7 are the same weight.
