It all started with a '96 red VTR (one of the first of the line )

It ran 123.8 at the crank.

But every good thing comes to an end...

My EX-girlfriend borrowed my car and gave it back to me in this state :wall:

All said and done, I sold the wreck and got a 16V :A:

All the parts I could salvage from my old VTR went on the VTS.

Threw in the ICE :afro:

Added Injen air intake, raceland manifold and custom stainless exhaust without cat and the Invidia muffler.

Bit of cleaning here :fcuk:

LED tail lights

Got a feckin sweet deal on Brembo calipers with Carbone Lorraine pads.:fcuk:

Polyestered my rear panels so they would fit the 17cm Apline R-series speakers

And then it was time for a bit of maintenance...

New rad, timing belt, clutch and a good service. So figured it was easiest to pull out the engine :geek:

Refurbed the mani while I was at it:cool:

Vems 3.6 standalone with wideband lambda and on board MAP sensor

Re-looming the bugger

And redesigned the woofer case to hold the 79Ah battery

received the boost control solenoid

And I found out that the mild steel manifold was very poorly C02 welded and thus leaking worse than dodgy fossett.

So I decided I could do a better job and started off with 42mm (2mm thick) stainless.

(there is also some 2.5" bends,straights and v-band clamps on this picture for the exhaust)

So it is all tacked up, now just looking for the time to finish it.

Got a crappy 16v lump for the rebuild. And while I was at it, got me a hoist and an engine stand

An evening in the mancave:

Testfitted the manifold and turbo, like a glove

(For the observants among us, yes there are only 3 runners on the manifold. I've decided to go with an external wastegate)

The cause

While the block is soaking up the detergent

Small update, the flu got to me so wasn't really able to get real work done.

All the nuts & bolts are being replaced by stainless ones.

New stainless 2.5" mufflers and flex part

New valves, valve seats, seals, skimmed and vacuumtested

Freshly honed block

Since the block and head were ultrasonicly cleaned they could use a fresh coat of paint

I've sanblasted some bits yesterday in the workshop at our service department.

The mechanics there were curious as always to see a pencil pusher getting his hands dirty :hug:

Got a bit done, still missing some vital parts from Citroen.

And for the first time in a while the weather was great so my Fireblade was calling me to come out and play

So after dealing with all the stuff that comes with buying a house that's not build yet, I finally found some time

Some stuff arrived :hug:

Genuine HKS SSQV 4, order at an offical HKS dealer

Clutchkit from the friendly and helpful Clutch-Specialists

And the Tial MV-S wastegate from DP-Engineering

Finally everything has arrived (except some small bits like vacuum hoses and such) so I can get on with finishing my manifold and swapping the blocks:fcuk:
