Uprated Suspension But Not Lowered - Options?

Hi

 

I have decided the route I am going to take with my latest 205GTI...

 

I want to partly restore it to be as original as possible, yet have subtle alterations which will not make it more handy when I do the odd hill climb...I want to keep the original look and feel and so and looking at:

 

Quaife LSD

23mm Rear ARB

Strut brace

Uprated shocks/spring

quick ratio steering rack

However, as I want to keep the original look and do not want it to appeared lowered what options do I have with regards to uprated shocks? Maybe just gas Bilsteins with standard springs?

You have all the same options, even coilovers.

 

Just use your standard springs the dampers wont alter the ride height.
