+1. There's nothing to lose by naming the company, whether you end up taking legal action or not. If all you've done is documented your experiences with this company, how could that work against you?

My local Euro Car Parts was much better than GSF. But that's mainly due to stock, available parts, attitude and service rather than a refund scenario. It is amazing how people don't understand that a reputation takes years to build and seconds to lose. You guys are totally right, if something is wrong, as a retailer, you should take it on the chin and fix it and do your best to put measures in place so that it doesn't happen again. Maybe they get a lot of scammers and have become a little jaded to their customer service when they have to deal with so many scrotes.

But even if they have been hit by a few dodgy blokes, then they need to change their internal systems, not presume every customer with a discrepancy is to blame.

Oh I'm not excusing them, just trying to give a reason to why they act in such a silly fashion. And you're totally right.

OK, to avoid conjecture and the wrong companies getting blamed, the motor factor in question is GSF.

This shouldn't prejudice the case since I've been very careful to only state the facts and not slag them off.

I've had an email from PayPal this morning, informing me that they've received a submission from GSF (finally) and are in the process of reviewing the case. I haven't seen what GSF have responded with.

Still ongoing.. interestingly PayPal have informed me twice more that they've contacted the seller again - it's not clear if it's for more info, or simply because GSF aren't responding to them either...

Finally... Result. PayPal had decided in my favour and GSF have refunded the full amount. :D

Be very wary ordering anything from GSF online - I would recommend anyone doing so to video themselves opening the package in front of the delivery chap (as a witness) as a precaution.

Now I just need to find a decent driveshaft supplier - GSF won't be getting any more of my money....
