I like them and test drove a java red one, it was a lovely car but the missus has a BMW and is a bit of a badge snob, it would be her daily driver so it soon got snubbed.

Just seen this:

"Only twenty nine of these were made, one to mark each year since the original 205 GTi launched in 1984."

Do they not realise they are flogging a dead lion horse?

I test drove one at lunchtime, It seemed well put together compared to peugeots of old.

The wheel did obstruct the guages so I couldn't see how fast I was going below about 30. I couldn't really get the steering wheel in a postion I'd be happy leaving it in long term either.

The steering was far too light as already mentioned, by far the lightest I have driven. I didn't like that. at all.

The brakes seemed heavily assited, I prefer to feel I'm doing the braking.

The sales woman was happy enough to let me stretch it's legs, the engine pulled it along well enough but I wouldn't say it was particularly quick or exciting.

I didn't get to drive it around may twsities so it may have impressed more there (it didn't feel anything special around one roundabout) but my overall opinion means I shall not be putting a deposit down thats for sure.

Hartwell Grimsby are excited to announce the delivery of their new Peugoet 208 GTi Limited Edition!

You would have thought they'd have least made the effort to spell Peugeot correctly.....

I think it was just the standard (200hp?) version.

I'm probably doing being a little harsh on the speed, it prbably didn't help that I test drove a couple of quicker cars over the weekend.

It got to 70/80 quickly enough thats for sure but didnt do it with any kind of theatre so felt a bit bland.

I currently drive a civic vti so it's all revs which of course make me smile
