Aerials?

While my car is being prepped for paint my mate suggested that I weld up the aerial hole.

The car is going to be a track day car that will be used on the road a little so I will be keeping the basic radio and front door speakers.

I like the idea of removing the areal and fitting one of these but I do not know if there any good.

Has any body tried these
