Flickering Lights & Crazy Ac Kicking In&out

Recommended Posts

Hi , few days ago the AC system was refitted in my car , since that i'm having this problem :

sometimes , when starting the car , the instrument panel lights and all lights in car (including headlights) are flickering! the just go dim and bright for few minutes , and then it's ok again.

Also , the AC starts to kick in and out like crazy , like someone is pushing the button repeatedly.

What to do?

Thanks

Checked the voltage of it , and of the battery when running . got 13.5/6 Volts everywhere.

One thing strange :

On the dryer , there is the trinary unit which is wired all the way to the AC button - checked the voltage of it and got 10.5 volts!

Is it normal? shouldn't be 12V ?

Ok , the flickering lights problem sorted out , it was a bad minus

The AC kicking in and out persists

Tried another 12v wire instead of the regular AC button - no change.

Tried to hook the Trinary Sensor wires (bypassed the sensor) -

It sorted the problem . It did not kick in and out and worked constantly

Does this mean the sensor is faulty ?

Is it ok to keep it like this ? Dangerous?

Ok so just to update on the behalf of users who will have a similar problem and maybe read this thread ;

1. Apparently , the fans did not kick in when AC button is pressed - it caused heat and high pressure in the air - con system.

It was fixed and now things are well.

2. The dryer was replaced with a new one . The old one had poor flow in it.

Good Luck
