hello friends
I mounted my car now XU10J2TE manifold and turbocharger
car engine 1.6 115 hp 9.8:1 cr xu5ja B6D
OEM injectors are now using the Jetronic system
use with OEM internal westgate
turbo 0.4 bar peak pressure, continuous 0.3 bar
What can I do to lower the compression ratio?
xu engine parts is no longer here
I do not want to enlarge the cylinder head combustion chamber
Do you have an alternative piston 83 or 84 mm?
Thank you in advance for your help and advice

It removes the coming days if I am turbo, compression will be low
find it very difficult to clean head
xu9ja engine, rising 11.1 compression ratio piston is inserted xu5ja
I used xu9ja piston, the estimated compression ratio is how?

If not by enlarging the head combustion chambers volume , it can be lowered by fitting dished pistons from 1.9 D6B or DKZ engine .

 

The easiest option would be to try and find a 1.9 DFZ head , which has deep chamber volume as OE item .

 

Second , the pistons . They are press fitted on the connecting rod with guiding pin - so there's no clip on the end of the guiding pins , for removing them in order to disassemble the piston from the connecting rod , like in the case of Mi16 engines .

 

So , in order to fit either 1.9 D6B or DKZ pistons for purposes of lowering the CR on 1.6 engine you'll first need to separate

1.9 pistons from the 1.9 connecting rods , and then fit back said pistons on 1.6 connecting rods .. and there's "an problem" , for disassembling and assembling the pistons and connecting rods you'll need special tools (if you try searching , you'll find my previous posts with the documentation/pictures from OE Peugeot service book about piston disassembling/assembling procedure and tools data)

Disassembling the piston from the connecting rods is not as hard (can be done with shop press , but still needs caution for possibilities of breaking the pistons during the pressing) , assembling the piston and connecting rod is really something i wouldn't recommend doing on a DIY basis cos it's really tricky , especially without the aid of needed tools for the procedure .

 

Pistons volume specs. :

1.6 B6D - 9cc dish

1.9 DFZ - 9cc dish (same piston as on 1.6 but with 1.9 connecting rod)

1.9 D6B - 15cc dish

1.9 DKZ - 17cc dish
