Body Work Repair Cost?

Would like peoples experience of having this work done. Also the cost of the repair, so I dont get shafted.

I've a previous poor repair on my OS sill at the rear and some surface bubbling to the other side above the sill itself which I want doing again properly.

 

I was recently quoted £175 to have the rot cut out and replaced, and the sills, lower quarters, bottoms of the doors and lower wings (effectively below the trim on each side!) sprayed.

 

I thought that was a fair price although that's the only quote I have had. The guy has semi retired from his business and starting working from his farm with full facilities so does have lower overheads.

I've just had some welding done on mine as it was identical to your 2nd pic, for £30.

Then had both sides below the arches painted for £80 but that was by a mate, would normally be at least £200 I'd have thought.

The reason the n/s is so bad is it has been bodged before. The welding was s*it, spots not a continues line, so water got in and slowly made it worse.

 

I had budgeted £300 for the lot so fingers crossed should be ok. The body shop has been recommended by my Mechanic, they did a full respray on his Fiesta RS Turbo.

less than 2 days. might of been £250, i can't quite remember as i had some other bits done at the same time.

Got it back today, disorganised as a woman on her period but seems to be a very good job. £250 all in.

Trust me the paint is spot on. every position took a shot from the bloody sun or a shadow was in.
