My White 1.6 Refurb

Now after getting a little carried away and buying a number of 205s this one is nearing the end of its time with me(providing I can get a reasonable price for it and more importantly a loving home). After seeing this on ebay the home of mainly messers and overpriced dreamers I managed to agree a price for it then just had to arrange a recovery as it was a non runner and had been off the road since 2007(suspected fuel pump fault). Not the cheapest of things to sort from Essex to Portsmouth. Now I was trying to sort this all out on a family day out with the wife and kids to longleat whilst having the stare of death from the wife. And seeing I hadn't even seen the car it was to say a bit of a gamble.....

However it had 77k on clock and once I managed to look the car over the following day I wasn't disappointed in it an could see its potential. First thing was to get it started, new battery & fuel pump and she fired up not sounding too bad at all. As you would expect it needed a the usual coolant pipe replacing and the brakes going over. So far ive replaced every brake pipe & they've all been covered in heat shrink. Gives a much better finish then leaving the copper pipes exposed as im sure you all know the effects a small amount of weathering has on them. Replaced rear shoes, cylinders, front brake pads & skimmed front discs. Mechanically the cars sound slight surface corrosion where paints flaked under bumper but theres not a spot of rust to undersides, inner wheel arch areas, behind bumpers & headlights are solid. I should have taken more photos whilst doing this but heres a few of the ones I did take to show. Now theres nothing like buying another 205 to make me get my arse in gear an finish this one off. Nearly there with it now and that feeling of not wanting to sell its growing however ive a new 1.9 Miami blue to focus my attention onto next. Just the engine service & final valet to go. Now its not concourse but I genuinely don't think it would take much to get it there. Any feedbacks always appreciated.

Well for one it looks better in my opinion you might just about be able to see pipes running of master cylinder across bulk head in last photo? Also it's going to protect it against weathering as I'm sure you may well have seen quiet recently replaced copper brake pipes looking rather unpleasant after being exposed to the elements? And yes the metal ones.
