Evening,

 

the wiring off it is looking really shoddy, no idea what it is :S

 

EDIT - forgot to mention - its between the gearbox and the block, under the gear linkages & SAD

engine speed sensor for diagnostic purposes, only used by obsolete diagnostic tools, decades out of date!

thats all good then! will remove tomorrow as it looks awful just hanging around there!
