I am wanting to fit a water temp gauge instead of (or as well as) the red light.

I have connected the guage to where i think is the right place, but the gauge only slightly moves - not even to the start (cold side) of the gauge.

 

Is this because the sensor is not designed to run a temp gauge?

Or a faulty sensor? Or gauge?

Or could the temp gauge be designed to run on a different voltage range?

Have you fitted the appropriate sender or just connected to the switch?
