2.0 Litre Turbo Power Steering Fitment Question

Recommended Posts

JR20516V

Hi All,

Am fitting up the Xantia CT lump [XU10J2TE ] into the 205 next week and was wondering if the Xantia CT power steering pump fits in OK....i dont have the p/s pump as yet and dont want to buy one to find out it wont fit or makes the conversion a PITA.

Do i specifically require the Xantia item or have others found that other pumps and fittings from another PSA car....e.g. one from a MI16 which are more readily available.

Any tips most welcome :}

Ive just done this you want the gti6 power steering setup its not cheap though, just the pump and alternator bolts alone were extortionate from peugeot so if you get second hand make sure you get the bolts with everything if possible

the xantia does not have a power steering pump.

how does the power steering work if theres no pump? :huh:

guess you know nothing of Citroen's then :lol:

suspension and steering run off the same very high pressure LHM pump via a reservoir and valve block, not suitable for use with ATF.

yep, i think the CT pump is out of the question due to having to improvise it and also use LHM in it as well............so it seems like a standard 306 1.8, 2ltr or GTI6 item may be the go.

Anybody know the pulley diameter on the CT lump as mine is missing?

Anybody fitted the 306 steering in this conversion?

Thx for your replies too :}
