I've copied this thread from another forum, but it should all translate

Bought this little racer as a small project and hopefully abit of an investment as they keep raising in value;

as it currently stands missing quite a vital component...

Came with buckets of spare parts, buckets of reciepts and full service history up to 113k (currently on 123k) and a fully refurbed engine in two peices

Today (23/4/13) dropped the head off at the local engine centre to have the valve clearances set, once its back probably next week it will get bolted to the block with new headbolts, new clutch, new timing belt and new water pump
thats all i have so far but will keep it updated

Got the head back from the engine centre on friday ready to get built up as soon as i get the parts together, also went and cleaned the engine bay in prep for the engine and whilst i was there gave it its first wash in about a year

Update 24/06/13

This week I had off work to get the head on, engine in and through an MOT, however came to bolting down the head got to the final stage of the torquing process bolt 7 of 10 and its stripped the threads from the block, must have been weak for whatever reason.

Major pain, but the blocks going back to the engine centre today 25/06/13 to have inserts put back into the bolt holes, well at least to enquire because complete used engines are going for around £200 currently.

Needless to say im absolutely gutted frown.gif
