Different Height Top Engine Mounts

does anyone know whether there are any compatible rubber top engine mounts that are taller than a standard GTI one?

None that I know of, other than a brand new one!

 

Are you missing the spacer for the arm? I'm sure the one George has used a separate spacer between the arm and the mount, probably about 10mm thick or so.

 

 

Guessing you mean for the V6 by the way!

I need about 20mm so might do 10mm on bottom and 10mm ontop but just wondered if there were any different sized ones out there

Yes, that's the one. The two halves are held together by four socket head cap screws. Either add a spacer between to increase height, or turn off a few mm here and there to reduce the height. I can get them down to 65mm high.

 

The bottom M10 screw is retained with a high strength Loctite. You'll need a bit of heat to remove it.
