Possible To Replace Ball Joint In Lower Front Wishbones?

I've just had a complete wishbone fitted but brought home the old one, as I had a feeling that the actual worn ball joint could be removed/replaced and - if so - I might have a go, while there is no time pressure on.

 

If it can be done, then I'll have a good wishbone ready, when the inevitable need for replacement next arises!

 

Any advice, please? (eg. what method for removal, source for ball joint, W.H.Y.)

pretty sure they arent replaceable
