A bad rattle from the back end. What's broken loose?

Umm, nothing. The spare tyre's flat... Some numpty <innocent look> put the spare back in upside-down, so that the valve wasn't accessible without dropping it. Reinflated and turned over, the rattle's gone.

not much good when the tyre is farked

you'll have a foaming gash...

the only two occasions I've needed a spare the tyre was completely knackered, i.e there was no sidewall left whatsoever....

I run without the spare, but I always pop it back on when I make trips the the IOW... Worst roads ever. :P

Always make sure the valve is the right way as I check the pressure when I do my other Tyres.
