Recommended Posts

Erm just trying to get as much info as possible and i am thinking of building a 1.6 (vtr) bottom end and a 1.4 tu3s head. But i know the inlet manifolds arnt interchangeable but are the exhaust manifolds the same?

The 205 exhaust manifold is designed to go up and over the subframe, therefore a Saxo/106 manifold has to be modified to clear the subframe. In terms of fitting to the head, saxo, 106 and 205 manifolds will bolt straight on. Hope that helps! :)

I know they have to be modified for the subframe i was thinking for mounting to the head as i the vtr inlet doesnt fit the xs head. Its alot easier to get a vr/106 manifold then an xs manifold.

Yea luckily the stud pattern is the same on all of the exhaust ports on the 8v heads :)

Great im gonna port and polish the head aswell but i have no idea what power figures i will get by using a vtr bottom end with a tu3s head. Was also wondering what the difference isn valve size there is on the vtr head and tu3s if any difference.

You should spend some time searching the forum as there is loads of info on this sort of topic. How are you going to fuel it?
