All depends on how good you are with tools I found it to be easy only the odd glitch here and there

right folks, im getting the whole car now. need wheels to move it tho. it wont have brakes on it at the front so will the 1.9 gti wheels and studs fit to just move it. will be trailered home anyway. ?

Without the brakes on it should be fine, clearance with the brakes on is still ok according to this topic

quite the opposite IME, there's so many pipes etc its a nightmare doing it properly, a valver is far simpler, and cheaper.

Miles

And quicker too, As I say to anyone who enquires about this value per HP is the most disappointing conversion going, even tuned

You'll need a flywheel as well, Custom D/P, extended lower engine mount, re-routing the loom as the 406 is the worst car for ECU location, Lots of pipes, Intercooler, DIY as said depends on your tools and skills

I'm in the middle of doing a turbo conversion let me tell you its a million miles from a simple swap, wp is spot on about it being a nightmare with a million pipes and miles mentioned most of the problems this engine needs some serious modification to fit properly. ive been on mine now since christmas but ive had 2 big set backs the first is time/days off to spend on it and the freezing cold weather made it unbearable to work on but having owned the 605 it came from for 8 years as a daily driver i know how rapid it is however ive never been in a mi16/gti6/s16 so nothing to compare it too
